Annika Hoseth
Hello! My name is Annika Hoseth and I am an LA-based musical theatre writer. I have a passion for writing nuanced, humorous, grounded musicals that inspire empathy, reflection, and joy.
​I graduated from Pomona College in 2023, where I wrote and produced two full-length musicals, You're the Sh*t and It Just Takes Time. Pomona's liberal arts education allowed me to study and train as a playwright, composer, actor, director, singer and dancer.
In addition to my own writing, I have a passion for supporting new work as a stage manager or dramaturg. I have worked as a stage manager and dramaturg for three world premiere plays at Moving Arts Theatre Company and an Iron Skirts Salon.

Synopsis
Michelle, Laney, and Kimberly are thrilled to have secured the best job for a young woman in 1968… they're Kittens at the Pussy Cat Cub! They spend their nights wearing Kitten ears, a fluffy tail, and a tight bodysuit, serving the most powerful men in New York City. Their boss, Kitten Mother, reveals that Pussy Cat Inc. will release a magazine with one lucky Kitten posing on the cover. However, the girls begin to reconsider how perfect this job really is after discovering things aren’t quite as modern as they thought.

RECENT PROJECTS
I am continuing to develop my musical It Just Takes Time, for which I recently directed a staged reading through ELATE theatre company. I have stage managed the world premieres of Here Comes the Night and My White Husband at Moving Arts Theatre Company and completed an internship at Sparks and Shadows (film and TV record label owned by Bear McCreary.) I've also been performing in staged readings of new musicals at New Musicals Inc.
